Accomplishments
- 2011 – 1st 66 students graduate from Christel House Bangalore! All expected to pursue higher education or a combination of work and study options
- 2011 – Two students attended the Culver Summer Schools & Camps Program, a six-week leadership program, reputed to be the strongest whole-person leadership camping program in the world for the third time in June / July, 2011 at Culver Academies, Indiana, USA
- 2011 – Two students and one faculty member attended The Adobe Youth Voice Summit 2011 held at Santa Clara University, CA, USA.
- 2010 - 100% of 11th grade students pass 1st PUC exam and proceed to 2nd PUC (12th grade equivalent)
- 2010 - 98.4% of 10th grade students graduate and proceed to Christel House PUC program (11th grade equivalent)
- 2010 – 86.5% of 10th grade students pass the national Grade 10 Education Board exam.
- 2010 - In a dream come true, 6 students participated in a Summer Football Camp in Dubai, organized by the Transguard Elite Sporting Academy (TESA), Dubai, UAE
- 2009- Two students and one faculty member participated in The First Annual Global Adobe Youth Voices Summit – Summer 2009 that was held at Stanford University, California, USA
- 2009 – Two students attend the Culver Summer Schools & Camps Program, a six-week leadership program, reputed to be the strongest whole-person leadership camping program in the world at Culver Academies, Indiana, USA.
- 2009 - Our first batch of students who appeared for the grade 10 board examination in March 09’ passed with 100% results.
- 2008 - We Are by Your Side, a short docu-fiction film produced by students of Grades VII-IX, won second prize at the Digital Arts Movement Film Festival (DAM 09) held at Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC), Pune, India
- 2007-Two student-produced films win top prize in national competition; one is shown at the Kids for Kids Film Festival in Naples, Italy2001-Classes for 320 students begin in a rented facility.
- 2006-GiveIndia assesses Christel House India for transparency and credibility, selecting it as one of only 100 Indian NGOs for which it raises funds on-line2002-Cheri Blair, wife of former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, visits the learning center
- 2006-Installation of showers and a laundry help children maintain better hygiene
- 2005-Disney on Parade performs at Christel House
- 2005-Two Christel House 7th graders make the National Under-13 cricket team
- 2004-Construction of 40,000 sq. ft. learning center completed in less than 4 months; many Christel House parents hired by our construction company, receiving vocational certificates and additional work opportunities
- 2003-Royal Resorts hosts 140 Christel House children in Goa, where they see the ocean for the first time
- 2002-First academic year ends with less than 2% attrition
